Hmph! Darn ISP connections the site laptop doesn't want me to connect and the password I was given (after it magically disappeared from my dial up box) was wrong.. it looks as if I have a early morning raid on Civic to get it sorted if I want to connect to the internet at site.

On a better note I had a great weekend with good beer and good company as a group of us descended Chez Pinky for the Cov beer fest. It was nice to see everone again as we hadn't seen each other since K & Pete's Wedding.

Made it back to watch the Brazilian GP which was certainly entertaining with all the crashes due to water on the track. I was pleased to see that Schumie spun off with a load of others but a bit sad to see Barichello go out due to car failure. Alas my fav of Coulthard didn't win :( but at least McLaren won the race (and not Ferrari!).

Mind you I was back to site with an early start as today for the load test before it gets handed over to the port... and the new linkspan doesn't seem to move as much as the others do when trucks go onto it. ... Planned handover is tomorrow ready for the arrival of the fast cat back for the summer season at 4pm! I believe the first passengers will be using it on Wednesday! So I have all that excitement (I jest) to come before I can relax (and my boss calm back down) and actually start to plan the things I need to take out to NZ for the conference.

Oh the joys of being a site engineer! At least I escape from site on friday on a flexiday ... and the next one is virtually there (mind you that might become OT as I'm building up the time too quickly!). Roll on NZ 11 days until I fly out :)
