Blue is the colour
This week and next it seems to be a whirlwind of blueness with too many Guidey meetings. My excitement of being able to have a pint with a meal has just gone (having decided not to enter the wilds for the county Senior Section meeting tonight but spend some time with Tom) as I’ve remembered I’ve got a mentoring meeting with 2 YLs out of my Division (their Div doesn’t seem to have anyone mentoring … as adult mentors have been exported too!) tonight that was planned a couple of months ago. If we reschedule the meal for the weekend I’ll still probably not be able to drink as I’ll probably be driving (what do I have to do to get a pint with a meal out? Well, other than force Dr T to learn to drive).
Next week is bumper with Guidey meetings…Tues PH parent s meeting, Wed District Meeting (my first in charge, and alas the Div Comm plans to come, but then she is actually in my district), Thurs EuroDisney leaders meeting … and then Friday I think I might get a chance to collapse in a heap! BH mon I think will be a bumper printing/ sorting fest.
I also need to get going on Guiding Mosaic stuff so its not a last minute panic along with Pack Holiday stuff. Talking of PH .. does anyone have instructions on how to make paper/ the equipment needed …you know you want to leave comments on that subject ;).
So if you don’t see any posts here for a while its probably because I’m buried under a mound of paper.
At least I escape the country briefly in a couple of weeks time (all in the name of growing old), when hopefully we’ll also find some interesting Civil Engineering to photograph in the region (which covers Kent/ Sussex/ Surrey/ Hampshire & Thames Valley) for the ICE Regional Photo Comp (the prize isn’t that great but its good to have an aim when looking for good photos). If you feel there are some good examples you know of in this patch and doable for us, leave a comment! We’re trying to work out how to take one of Bluewater, which is built in an old quarry. I always feel it should be in a Bond movie as a Bond Villain Lair (Mr Bond … we’ve been expecting you ….. for a spot of retail therapy).
