Oh dear...
Dr T decided to change his heat sink on the desktop … and it seems fried the motherboard (again), so he’s not a happy bunny (and no doubt using it as an excuse not to do dissertation). At least with him having a laptop as well he isn’t cold turkey with geeking.
But this gives him the excuse for surfing to find a replacement motherboard and other computery goodness.

Following the posting, Tom informed me (he feel incapable of typing this himself) and wishes to correct the statement. He broke his Motherboard by being too forceful, rather than frying it as such. So this time he broke it rather than the computer. Silly Boy!
New motherboard and it's working fine again, and no need to update drivers or reactive XP as it's the same model of board :)
