The slog continues ....

I’m in a lull, I have no love for my work at the moment as it just feels like a lot of housekeeping, no inspirational stuff as my rather exciting prospect is getting bogged down with others. Added with a general lack of communication in my immediate area generally at work doesn’t help the matter.

For those not experiencing the interesting weather at Blackwell (I wasn’t expecting to remove sheets of ice from my tent Sunday morning). I’ve been given a further 2 year sentence (Het (wife of the treasurer also up for a further sentence) coined the term of the weekend with regard to committee posts, sad thing is at times it feels that way) as Registrar. Discussion was good and I think there is some headway/ ideas others (ie non-committee) are willing to try and work on with regards to recruitment … as it isn’t just something for the Registrar to sort out (they are there for members, not a recruitment officer!). Starting a bit with Theme Weekend along the lines of ‘Bring a friend’, after all if it works for our units why shouldn’t it work for SAGGA?

Card selling also has had a bit of a bounce as there is a table top sale locally where our Brownies meet at the end of the month, so I’m willing to risk the £5 for the table as I feel I should be able to gain some more money there, and it means I’ve not just gone to Guiding/ Scouting contacts for fundraising.

Finally I’m going to use the 1st day of this year’s leave (my Amsterdam trip was done on the previous year’s leave) on Thursday to have a day to myself for a haircut (been trying to get that sorted for ages) and sorting out paper/ junk following its movement around the flat following the annual gas inspection yesterday. Mind you I’ve not much leave left on the calendar as everything else is taken up with Guiding related stuff (GM, PH & EuroDisney…).

What is it about Thursday and hair cuts, both me and my little sis are having the chop on Thursday (even if in different parts of the country!!) Looks like the shorter look is coming in with the (hopefully) warmer weather

Maybe decent looking hair for easter? Mind you Dr T did mention doing a harbour tour (on our dockyard season tickets) as we haven't for a while (so his view is get hair cut, then mess up on a boat...). Mind you Kestrel's hubby came in during our planning meeting last night with rather short hair (Kestrel wasn't expecting a grade 2 ish), his excuse is that he's starting to lack the hair!
