The site laptop internet connection is still out .. and it looks as if IT (or ISG as they have re-named themselves to include GIS) will have to contact Demon to sort it out :(

But I've come into Civic for the afternoon where its less noisy and a lot warmer! So I checked the mail (only 5 since yesterday morning) one of which was from my lovley boss sent to everyone in the section & the city eng & our assistant city eng saying thanks for getting the lower deck in on time for the arrival of the fast cat today, he even stated names saying what they had done to help things go in on time (which included mine!). Its nice to know you're appreciated! Also I had a mail from my ex big boss (nice man, prinicpal eng horrible man) saying he was signing the core objective at the weekend and would put it in the post Mon :) So maybe things will start to more towards chartership ... at a slow rate but moving none the less. Mind you I do wonder at times whether I'm good enough an engineer to pass the CPR (Chartered Professional review, not the first aid version) but then I get things done on site and can resolve problems (even if I don't like to think hard about them) so I can't be that bad.

Also really looking forward to my Friday off when I shall be a lady of leisure (with the Dr in tow) as I'm getting my hair cut before NZ, then its the ladies who lunch at IKB with a member of the Delightful Dr T fan club (and she's a married woman!) as it was her Birthday last week so also pressie exchange, so the Dr can see that we don't always discuss him and her hubbie as he's joining us as well (but I feel he's there more for the cider than conversation). Also gotta fit in some homestay gift shopping along the way ...
