Demob Happy!
So the sentence is spent … I’m no longer SAGGA Registrar! James is the person with the new sentence… it was quite nice not to go to the post AGM committee meeting date setting meeting! I will be helping James into the role, besides he knows where I live and I’ll be seeing him fairly regularly for the while …. So I can enjoy life just as a ‘normal’ SAGGA member (mind you is there such a thing as a ‘normal’ member?)
This post was actually typed up airside @ Manchester Airport as I was being the fly girl of SAGGA again …. One day I might drive up to the far north for a SAGGA event! This time was cabin only courtesy of Ruth & James who in partnership allowed me to camp for AGM … and take home a gift of Port (for my new work issued port mug (it really for us to use with the water dispenser but my first thought on seeing a navy plastic mug was it was good for port!)). I wasn’t going to decant it into 100ml bottles! Camping in the snow when you’ve flown with cabin only however means you end up with pretty much all your clothing on to keep warm!!
So I catch up with my sleeping stuff & the port in about a month when ICE related stuff calls me to the land of the concrete cow …. And handover gets sorted (all over a Chinese on expenses & the wine from me!). See its SAGGA networking in action again!
It was nice to catch up with people at a national event not really seen since summer, and to welcome some newcomers into the fold.
So a nice break in the north, bit tired …. So I think an early nice after the e-mail check and post this blogpost.
ETA: It even snowed & laid in Portsmouth!
