... what a week!

This week has been rather eventful and we've not even reached Friday!

You may have seen that we've been having some interesting weather down here ... so it took until last night for me to get a proper night's sleep, the first since Saturday night ... as I had floodwatches to do ...

Now its the aftermath of inspection visits and sorting out orders for work to be done. Fortuately we've come away as I thought ... nothing surprising. Areas of damage are actually less than I though generally. Mind you we have a load of shingle and seaweed much higher up beaches and on some footways...

Lets just say I'm rather looking forward to this weekend, more than most.

.... but at least it seems my actions on Monday are being appreciated and noted by those above me ... and even Dr Ts lack of sleep (due to my floodwatches) was noted by our boss (we share the same boss a couple of levels of management up) as he was commenting to the boss's PA (who he sits next to...). Sadly I worked out how much I got in my pay for all the stuff I did on Monday ... all I can say is they got a bargain!!
