Which sector does the most boring cards for your industry?

I ponder on this subject following the opening of a series of Christmas Cards in our office yesterday from Dredging companies. Why does this sector send such dull cards usually featuring dredgers ... not the most festive of plant (as in machines not green things)! Once more a Danish company won the dull card of the year award in the office, this year's offering featured a dreger, but it was a wrap around design of one pumping sand onto a beach.

... So to the decent ones from the Dredging sector ... 1st place goes to UK Dredging who had made a graphic Christmas tree of their company name in tasteful blue and silver. Runners Up were Westminster Dredging (aka Boskalis)who had photoshopped a dredger picture to make it festive.

So the last day of 2007 has been worked for me .. we shall see what 2008 brings as my team leader retired yesterday and it looks like I may have more management area work heading my way is promises are followed through, all good stuff towards finally getting chartered. I'm crossing my fingers that this time next year my career has progressed a lot further as my new line manager (aka section head) is good at encouraging his staff to achieve what they want by giving them the support and training needed! Maybe Dr T may have left the world of a temp!
