...and relax
Finally after it seems ages I have some free evenings in my flat ... too much Guiding, or Scouting & Guiding getting in the way (and maybe an ickle bit of craft to respite). But District Meeting signalled the end of the run.
Last weekend a meeting was combined with some catching up ... with Lufbra along with CMT & co. It was nice that after the SAGGA committee meeting it wasn't a rush off back home ... and that it wasn't 6 hours of driving in the day for the meeting! 1 more meeting & an AGM to go until handover :) The sentence is nearly spent ;).
While in Lufbra we visited the street fair (the reason we didn't all rush off), and I got to go on the carousel along with CMT. They were good, and quicker than most when up to speed. I do love a good carousel ride ... I was happy to look after Baby J while her mum, dad and uncle went on a rather stomach churning ride. Mind you she was really taking in all the bright flashy lights ... is this a sign of things to come?
More catching up is due over the month of December ... I'm really looking forward to Cologne, strangely also to speaking German again even though its scarily 16 years since I sat the GSCE and about 6-7 since I last spoke it in conversation! Amsterdam last year showed I had remembered quite a bit of it (dutch is similar). So Gluwein, Die Dom & Weinachtmarkts call!
Tchuss!
