A Good Weekend Away

… not very far away, but with good company and lots of laughs!!!

Solent SAGGA had its first major event (well other than the AGM ...) with kids (including is first Solent SAGGA Kid, she was well behaved and of course passed around!) in the form of Catch Down South! We felt it went well, if only scraping the min numbers for the building, but that was due to last minute publicity in some areas of SAGGA … but we’ve booked for next year so it goes in the diary early for more numbers … maybe we’ll even get campers next year!!

Also joining us were a couple of my best mates (we were all together in Pompogs/ SSAGO) and their kid. They slotted in well … maybe we might see them join SAGGA, we’ll see. I’ve not had a chance to spend more that a few hours at a time with them in ages … so hadn’t realised the energy their kid has for running around (which is great in Barn with its huge lino floored hall, good for toy cars as well), he doesn’t stop! We also hadn’t realised how good a ‘Yoda’ face Little Miss J can do!! We’re teasing Tom & Anna that we’ll make her some Yoda ears if they don’t watch out ;).

So over the weekend we had golf playing, walking, crafting, monkey visiting, sweet shop visiting, member’s officer databasing, African Photo Album sorting, paperwork sorting (and fire starting!), newspaper reading, lego building, playing ‘Escape from Colditz’, chatting, toy car playing, kids running about lots, baby passing, oh and a bit of eating!!

So if you want to join us … its 10-13 October 2008 in Barn Pack Holiday House (as PML is all booked out :( ) For catch up down South … we might even be adding our own twist to it … following the fruit selection conversations!

… and maybe next year I’ll get more done!! I can but hope!
