How Much?

... the day has finally come to Portsmouth when diesel is at 100.9p a litre. It had to happen one day and it was today, as I drove in. Good job I filled the tank on Sunday, but I have a run up to Lufbra & back come the weekend and that's about 3/4 of a tank. So I'll have to swallow hard when I re-fill.

... but why is Portsmouth often a penny cheaper than Southampton when it has Fawley refinery so close?

One for the ex and current Brass Players... does diesel on fingers (from the pump handle) remind you of valve oil? It took me a while to twig where I knew the smell from when I first got the Fab (recently celebrating its 4th Birthday!)

I'd much prefer to see a higher rate of tax on fuel rather than road pricing.

Oh dear the swallow hard will happen sooner than I thought ... I seem to have done a load of work mileage without going far it seems... so a bumper mileage claim this month.

Here is another alternative to putting in standard pricey diesel, though you will have to avoid eating it instead...
