2008 Escape plans ....

So the Girlie weekends for 2008 are decided ... we will be having two as we couldn't decide and want to see more of Europe ...

So we're planning Springish (as much as our diaries will allow) weekend in Paris, any suggestions for cheapish hotels (I think we're talking circa £50-60prpn if poss). At the mo it looks like we'll be staying around the Bastille/Place de Republique area. We're also wondering about a long day in Disney by RER buts that's just an idea.

Then for December ... a return trip to Cologne! The other half of Girlie Weekend is currently gaining hotel points rapidly with work so we will may be leaving the YH behind this time and being right ontop of the Dom & Dom Markt :) with our hotel choice. We really enjoyed ourselves and all the different markets .. it seems Cologne has more to offer than other places so we're going to return as we wanted to go back for more as soon as we came home. This time with the relocation we should save feet a river crossing and can go out for an evening gluhwein easily.

Mind you in the travel side of the diary Dr T should make a decision on when and where he wants to go ... at the mo its East Anglia with clubcard YHA vouchers for a long weekend ... time of year undecided. I want to use my airmiles for a trip to Washington DC in September to see the Smithsonians I didn't last time, and a bit of retail therapy ...

I can see the diary will become full at weekends before I know it!
