In the deep mid spring....
For I was back in the homeland ... and it snowed on Easter Sunday (& Monday) in Kent!
Proper flaky snow drifted down for much of Sunday & Monday ... so much so it was like misty fog for visibility on the way home.
It felt very wrong that the kids were searching for eggs amongst gravestones with dustings of snow on them after the Sunday morning service (in a church that was packed! and a lot younger average age than the one I have church parade ... we even learnt a 'we will rock you' based grace.... wouldn't have that at church parade EVER!).
We were commenting how it was warmer at Christmas. But all the while it was snowing there are a number of people we know with early April birthdays who have seen snow on their birthday (Norwich SAGGA AGM anybody ... that was my mum's birthday!) so snow in the end of March isn't that strange...
But it was nice being back home with the olds and seeing the sister (even if that also means the BIL) ... roast lamb and onion sauce, what more can you want?
