This morning I spent mostly looking at a GPS station from 0630hrs all in the aim of setting up our GPS network. As you can imagine this isn't the most stimulating thing to spend your morning doing but we needed to have a number of stations all on the go (and not tampered with) to set the network up. Then after that we installed the bankseat hinges. Yeah! Happy Caz :) so have had a crane on site (a baby one I guess 30T) to lift the hinges into places (easier said than done with the existing bankseat still in place!). So site life has been rather busy today .... and finally had communication about the dredging ... So on Friday I will be bobbing up and down in a boat on the pre-dredge survey. See what an exciting life you can lead as a Civil Engineer! (End up with a love of fleece and walking around random places with high vis jackets and site boots on regardless of where you are. Site boots + needlework shop = not a usual combination).
