Well turned on the comp this evening and it was much more co-operative so I unistalled the update and reinstalled the old version. Computer probs are solved all without a drop of port passing my lips!!

On another subject I spent part of this evening in a very cold St Mary's Church, Fratton (major landmark for this part of town other than the Fratton Park Floodlights), all in the name of Guiding, as it was the Standard Service rehearsal .. and because I was standing when the music stopped I've ended up carrying the Union flag for it as the YLs who were to do it are now being the Standard Escort (as the 2 YLs due to do that have dropped out). I ended up carrying as I have the navy sweater and the other two (lets say more mature) Guiders as my escorts as they have woolly pullys. So I went into server mode walking up the aisle on the rehearsal (which was also minus a flag!). So it seems 2nd Pompey Brownies are taking over the world as the other Guider is carrying the new standard (so we're each end of the procession of flags .. and as there are no 1st Pompey our Brownies are at the front of the Unit flags!) leaving the new DC (who is also the old Brown Owl) to look after our Brownies! Mind you the whole rehearsal was a bit all chiefs and no indians until the vicar took hold and made the chiefs agree!
