Sun and Shoes
Yeah the sun has finally emerged from its rain soaked past couple of days down here on the south coast (hence down on the south coast we all live for the summer and nice weather down on the seafront).
This is a good thing, as instead of being responsible for the yellow hoards the Guiders are going for a night out on the town, as its half term. Well, more specifically a meal down Gunwharf probably with a tipple or two afterwards. Maybe we can scare/ freak out another taxi driver this time by telling him that yes, really we do run a Brownie pack together which is how we know each other … and we aren’t saints/ ogres/ big bottomed girls (well some have larger bums than others)/ 3 headed monsters* (* delete as applicable). Oh it provided us with the biggest giggle of the night last time!
I’m looking forward to it .. but got to get some time in after one too many early escapes this month at work. However boot shopping phase II is due in the half hour I’ll have in town hopefully for tonight. I tried phase I (Clarks & Debenhams) yesterday, alas my feet are too wide for the Clarks offering I liked. Phase II is Schuh (in Republic) and Qube (new to Pompey, but shock horror Canterbury has had one a while), maybe with emergency visit to Sole Trader, time allowing; who have similar offerings at a price acceptable to Caz. The reason for the boot shopping is due to above, as last time I wore my heeled boots was last time we went out and my soles hurt at the end of the night as the boots have reached the end of their life :(.
Trying to think of what’s clean and decent to wear out tonight … hmm I think trousers will end up as work ones (as my moleskins have died) or jeans, oh which tops do I have clean? As you can tell from this dilemma Dr T doesn’t take me to classier establishments. Its from jeans & fleece to the other extreme with evening dresses … with not a lot in between (and I don’t like wearing work clothes to party in!!!). Oh, what is a girl to wear?

Oh dear, Caz was a rather annoyed by 6pm when she got home ... all bar 1 possible shoe location in the city centre has been tested .. none of which can provide a chunky heeled ankle boot (its either knee high and chunky or ankle and (hurt yourself/ fall over) stiletto heels.
Have you tried Lilly and Skinner? They're quite comfortable. Think you can get them at Shoe Express!
