Tired but Happy

I’m tired and things aren’t as rosey as hoped for at work … and its only Monday morning!

That said I did have a very enjoyable long weekend in the far north at SAGGA Camp. Friday I spent all day “bogging”. That is clearing a stream of sloppy boggy mud and debris to allow better flow to a culvert at the end. We were also working to protect the banks more where they had eroded. It was very messy but great fun! I’m still trying to get the mud out from under my fingernails.

Then on Saturday I went into Newcastle, seeing The Angel of the North (its smaller than thought and welding is dodgey), The Sage (looks like a catepillar pupa), Winking eye Bridge and Baltic Art Gallery (good views of the bridges from the viewing platform. Then we went to Metro centre for JC to go shopping (and Em went to a rather fab paper/ card shop … although Dr T doesn’t seem too anti it … so I shall be visiting the local one to me which is between Fareham & Soton next weekend).

The flights weren’t too bad to there and back, the one back was delayed by ¾hr, but I had a good chance to re-charge the batteries and give my feet a rest, although I arrived home rather late … hence rather tired this morning.

Oh and the major news from the weekend was that Master A took his first solo steps on Sunday Lunchtime … watch out! Thus completing another camp project?
