If I had a Million Dollars .....

Amongst the snippets of information that Dr T informed me of over the weekend was that ERNIE is now producing 2 x £1million prizes a month (He nicely gave Dr T 2x£50 over the past few months) instead of 1. This then led to a car conversation of what would Dr T do if ERNIE chose one of his Premium Bond numbers and gave him a million?

Well to start with he’d put it in a bank and think about what to spend it on (thus gaining a few more pennies), which would include a house (which following the weekend’s conversation and his perusal of the Machine Mart catalogue would preferably have a outhouse/ garage to store a pillar drill and fruit press as well as an area for a orchard), this would make me happy as I really miss having a garden with flat dwelling. He’d also pay off the mortgage on those close family members still with them. Then he might even spend some on driving lessons …. As well as pursuing some hobbies more.

Then having watched Top Gear Dr T surfed over to their website to look at some power lap times … and spotted the Atom … Hmm we thought that would be a good fun car to have, not very practical (no roof, no boot, come to that no doors too) but if you had a million (well you only actually need £20,000) you could buy one and still have a practical car as well. I wonder what Guider reactions would be if I turned up to a training/ meeting in one of those? Mind you I can’t remember if they do a 2 seat version, alas the Fab will have to do for now.

We’ll just have to see what ERNIE decides. Mind you if we had a million dollars (CDN) I’d still eat Kraft Dinner, just with really expensive ketchup (for those of you not educated enough to get this joke, can I direct you to ‘Gordon’ by Barenaked Ladies); FYI I’m a with ketchup and a dash of milk for my KD.
