Tacking and Beating
I had a very enjoyable weekend with good company at SAGGA Sailing Weekend. I did a bit of paddling in a Canadian Canoe; had lessons 1&2 with the Granville Sailing Academy (certainly not RYA approved) which ended with me helming CMT’s boat (which Granville seemed to spend a lot more time on than the owner!) for a while. I was rather chuffed, and it was certainly a lot easier to learn the wonders of tacking and beating (but no pinching) on a reservoir than Portsmouth Harbour, where my previous dingy experience had occurred.
We had a bit of a Solent SAGGA expedition to the north, all of whom enjoyed it. Appointments permitting we’ll be doing the 4 hour journey north again (this time I’ll drive as TWM2 did this year) next year for a weekend of relaxation with a hint of sailing and other wet vehicle activities. Hmm I might even get Dr T up there!
… must have been good I rather tired this morning at work (caffiene infusion in process before escape to site).

Does that mean we get the luxary of Air conditioning in the car? Was mighty hot this time.
Yep, you get air con on hot travels such as yesterday ... mind you the normal fan is pretty darn good. No air con needed so far today ...
My car has a thermostat that turns on the heat or air conditioning when needed.
