What will you be doing in summer 2012?

Woohoo London has won the race for the 2012 Games. Or rather the UK has won the race due to various events being dotted about the place.

Sailing will be around Portland, so we might have some people missing in the officce to watch some of that around here. Would like to see the Archery but that I believe is to be at Lillishall (?sp) so unlikely.

From what I observed on BBC Breakfast this morning I felt Paris lost it in the presentation. They showed a tourist video and London talked about legacy and had the possible future participants of the 2012 games in the audience instead of bigwigs.

This of course now poses a bit of a dilemma in my industry. We'll have plenty of interesting projects going on for the games; just one problem there is a current shortage of Engineers (proper ones, not plumbers & mechanics) in the UK ... I can see it getting potentially worse.

Are plumbers and mechanics not proper engineers? Poor them!

Wouldn't Ambridge be the right location for the archers?

Yep looked up the 2012 map and indeed Archery is at Lords (I'm sure it could be somewhere more interesting..)

Pete, as for 'Heating Engineers' don't get me started!! I'm sure you get similar comments from the wife!
