No, no, no, yes

I had an interesting phone call from my County Commisioner last night ... I was being asked if I would like to be the Assistant County Senior Section Advisor. I delayed saying what I should say until Monday.

This has lead to a few different veins of thought in my head today...

Why the heck ask me, I've not been involved with YLs for that long; but as the first I heard of anything about this was the phone call they can't be desperate yet, the current incumbent still has about a month left. = No

I have lots of things in my non-work time, why add another? = No

E05 (evaluation of the senior section programme) is happening which could lead to interesting stuff & I might finally learn what the heck I should do with all my YLs. = Yes

I'm rather chuffed at being asked, but maybe its because I've been quite happy to speak up at the County Senior Section Leaders meetings and not moan all the time (ie I'm the one usually saying there is a life outside exams, so why not fill it with senior section activities for respite!). = Hmmm

Oh I know I should say NO, but a bit of me is just intrigued and doesn't want to miss out so thinks I should say YES.

Mind you I have to explain my actions to Dr T if the answer is anything but NO. I think I need to sit on my hands all weekend so I don't say yes.
