Everybody's camping .. but I'm still working :(
Why is that everyone seems to be camping at the moment and I’m not? Si J is off at Eurojam (expensive for Essex, but now its on I wish I was there), Mad in the Peaks, CMT off for SAGGA Summer Camp (whole duration), Little Sis at Foxlease the other week.
Meantime I’ve covering for all and sundry (Leave, Sick & Daytrip to Stockholm for Boat Measuring {why couldn’t I get that one}) as well as getting current annoyance changing her mind and adding more work (all in a patronising way as well just to really annoy .. I do know how tactile paving should be laid!) … she didn’t seem to hear me saying I was the only person in Ports today earlier. Mind you one of my projects had good timing by phoning me both occasions that she was hovering at my desk … for the ‘I have lots of other stuff to be working on’ campaign. Roll on next Monday when things calm down a bit hopefully with a return from leave (so 1 less project to sort out, still doing the site visits as they’re next to my major one).
Getting leave in the summer hols to get a camp in is easier said than done. Projects springing up on site even though its peak season (we’re usually doing lots of design/ planning this time of year for off peak works) and 2/3 week hols along the way to cover for. So PH is planned for May half term or Easter. Hmm at this rate I'll be doing the camp endorsement so I can camp with the Brownies! Possible Guide units with easy connectability have enough leaders so I'm missing out ont he opportunities. Heck at this rate I'd even encouter Scouts once more! I'm missing air d'woodsmoke perfume!
Hence our hols were in the only 2 weeks we could fit in properly … after uni break up and before I started a project on site (although I did need cover for the first week on site) with the busy stuff. They should have been finished (but now using the float in the programme) by my leave for summer camp end weekend .. so need to get that cover for the finish off (likely to be our Diving Engineer as he’ll need to have a dive to check the works at the end). Then you hit dissertation time for Dr T …

So you're not making the trip up to Durham then to do the engineer ting and compare my boiler to those at foxlease?
I'm flying up (thank you Flybe) for the youth weekend at the end so can compare with Foxlease if you're still there then. ... then Easy Camping at Aug BH with Brum SAGGA (A Dr T request ... he's ready to enter non-Solent stuff :)).
Hmm shall I bring the rocket launcher? Anybody want to bring a 2 litre pop bottle, card & sellotape to make rockets?

You don't really want to be at EuroJam do you! It has proved to be a exhausting experience so far,
