Last night it was archery once more and for the second week running I recorded my arrow scores. I improved on last week with a round of 194 and then 198 (out of a total of 240, up from 181 & 190 last week) … but still not enough golds (centre colour) for me! The reasoning behind this is that I am debating about stepping into the world of archery competitions and maybe entering the Hants indoors to see how I go. I think only a miracle would get me in the placings, however as long as I don’t come last I’ll be happy! I got a gold on all bar 1 set of 3 arrows. We have to shoot at 10 yards instead of the usual indoor of 20yds (as the victorians only made their casements suitable for 10 yard ranges, we shoot in one of Palmeston’s follys on the Hill) so I also have that to sort out. We shall see how I go over the next month before I enter the comp …. If I’m regularly getting over 200 I’ll enter … if not I’ll keep recording and see what else is up on the horizon.
