The dress returned with my mother awaiting a zip to be inserted and the slit hem to be wonderwebbed (to make the best finish).

With the instruction in the ways of sewing and cutting at the weekend I'm feeling brave enough to have a go all on my own and actually properly use my sewing machine (as mum did it all at the weekend not letting me play with my own toy!). So at the wedding its likely that Dr Tom will be sporting a very snazzy complementary waistcoast made by my own fair hands! (my plan is to have the front with the wrap material & back with the dress material ... but want to check Dr T is OK with silver daisies first!) So Sat am will be spent material & pattern shopping .... will let you know how things go.

Plan to see the big smoke on the BH Monday & ladder shopping sometime ... busy, busy!
