Today we received the lastest edition of the internal phone directory (complete with the incorrect extension for me and site numbers for a site office that isn't there anymore!). Anyway this meant we were studying the weird and wonderful jobs you can have at the Council. Being a diverse city as we are we have a large number of Billigual Assistants tied up with the Education section. In this section there were a couple of gems ... we have a vietnamese/ polish assistant (strange combo we thought) and have 3 Tagalong assistants. We decided that as Tagalon was such a cool name for a language .. it nagged us where it was spoken .. so we did a google search and found out that when in the Phillipines you can speak Tagalong as it otherwise known as Filipino!

On other matters I headed townwards at lunchtime to pick up my parcel so I got to spend the afternoon CADding & listen to new tunes. I'm already smitten with 'Dead Letters' from those Finns known as 'The Rasmus'. If you like like a good bit of drum and rock guitar .. but want singing rather than shouting I heartily recommend this album (LHS to be updated sometime to reflect these purchases). Later I shall let new BNL into my flat as I do a pre-parental sleepover tidy up ... they've been let loose to the confines of my earphones at work already!
