A visit to Wilkinson's (& shopping for remaining xmas shopping bits) and a tube of super glue later and my wing mirror is looking much better. Not perfect, but no longer distracting when I'm looking in the mirror.

... also I have apparently misquoted Dr T ... well that should teach him to distract the driver. Before you ask, he's shown no further interest in learning to drive ... how can a man that interested in cars not want to learn to drive? Will I ever fully understand the workings of Dr T's mind? unlikely I think!
