Dr T & I went an saw Finding Nemo finally on Staurday (late) Morning prior to xmas shopping in scenic Leicester .. so Tom makes the following comments which I felt worthy to go on the blog following paj's comments on the film.

Some Finding Nemo trivia, courtesy of the IMDB:

The seagulls ("Mine, mine") were modeled after the penguins in the claymation Wallace and Gromit short Wallace & Gromit: The Wrong Trousers (1993).
(Tom:I thought as much)

Director Andrew Stanton is a fan of "Monty Python's Flying Circus" (1969) and included a couple of references. The shark is called "Bruce" (from a sketch about the Philosophy Department of the University of Woolloomooloo where everyone was called Bruce (it's also the nickname of the animatronic shark used in Jaws (1975))). The krill say, "Swim away, swim away," (from Monty Python and the Holy Grail (1975)). (Caz:which is a mighty good film)

He also quipped this amusing quote, as we sat at some traffic lights on the way out of Leicester, that I said I would post ...
'I'm usually Tom, except when I'm being a number of fantasy characters'.
For those of you not in the know Dr T does indeed have too many books of a Dungeons & Dragons nature .. but he claims not to run around in woods or have little figurines .... its lots of e-mails for him!
