The Fundraising Bandwagon comences ...

Last night I started the production line for what will hopefully help me raise some of the money towards being a session leader in the summer at Guiding Mosaic. (The quandary of this is also a whole other issue, they’re really bigging up that the Canadians use cookie sales towards camp costs, but we don’t have them!!! The camp costs aren’t that big for staff fortunately.)

So I set about creating a plethora of handmade greetings cards to sell to all and sundry. I got out my Paper Mill Card and Paper and set about using that, along with various other resources available to make about a dozen cards and pack them up in window bags (to save dirty marks etc. when handled), with a few on partial completion (I need some outline stickers for completion of those, to be purchased after work). I was particularly pleased with the simple but nice skeleton leaf cards, which are easy to make, although need delicate handling so not to break the leaves. I bought the leaves in Lakeland’s bargain corner ages ago but not really used them before … I can see I will be purchasing some more in the future. I’m a fan of the purple leaf on the silver background card myself, although the rusty orange one (on cream with rust orange card) is pretty good too. I also have a few heart ones for Valentine’s Day as well (‘tis the season and all that).

So if you wish to purchase any of them let me know … no doubt they will be travelling with me to various events so every retail opportunity is covered! Of course I will take commissions (within the capability of my crafty fingers) for any particular cards people may be after!

… I just need work to set up its Small Ads bit again so I can sell some through work! (it’s meant to be online now, but hasn’t appeared with the change in corporate magazine).
