The morning after the day before.
Yesterday lunchtime we went out for the work Christmas Lunch at a local (v. yummy) eatery. Many moons ago we went here for a Pompogs (RIP) Christmas Meal (and as it was all posh like we all got dressed up). The food was extremely nice, my view of cranberries has changed a bit due a very nice Cranberry and onion relish I had with my pate (previous experience has been in juice form with vodka/ muffin). The lamb shank was easy off the bone (as it should be), culminating in the pudding, a lovely Chocolate Marquis (cross between Mr Oliver’s Chocolate pots & a chocolate mousse). Only downer was how closely packed we were (see f-word’s hit list). There was much merriment with the use of cracker as ammunition between the tables.
I then retired with some colleagues to the IKB (Guest Ale, Pride of Romsey is a good recommendation) for a beverage before departing our various ways.
Having purchased a FirstPortsmouth Daypass I did not wish to waste it and fancied a bit of drunken shopping (as often occurs post beer fests with Dr T). So I headed to the bright harbourside lights of Gunwharf. I had a slight mission of looking for shoes fit for skirt wearing (yep you did read that right, skirt wearing!). Well I was rather successful in Mr Clarks fine outlet … where I ended up with 2 pairs of skirt shoes (BOGOF), a pair of work shoes to replace the current pair (which are on the downward slope to shoe heaven so looking was due for commencement) and a pair of boots to go with Jeans (long time looking there) so I don’t always wear trainers. Dr T is overall pleased on this shopping, pleased as he didn’t have to endure shoe shopping & that I have enough for at least 6 months (if not longer) avoidance of such places although not so happy as I have more than 3 pairs of shoes (his total; everyday boots, walking boots & sandals).
Mind you I also got a A5 box of card/ paper from Paper Mill Shop (yeah no longer have to go to Whiteley) as they had some good stuff for card making .. much glitter, purple, fushia pink, textured paper later I exited the shop. Let the card making/ Canada fundraising commence. Hmm better sort out how purchase of GFI Construction is going to get sorted.

If you want stuff that can be purchased from Buckingham Palace road I would use my little sister as a personal shopper.....she has to have some uses :-)
It more getting my money off Guides Canada for it. I need to find out if they can pay and I can collect etc.
