Please can I have interesting work to do? It seems of late I’ve either been doing non-engieering work (internal audits) or not very grey cell stimulating work (maintenance & repairs, but more the paperwork side). I’m currently awaiting paperwork from other parties before I can move a number of projects forward. Therefore I’m left with the as-builts on a project to do, where the lack of communication and co-operation from fav person means I’m begrudingly doing them. Sometimes I wonder why I spent 3 years slogging my brain out to end up rather bored and unstimualted.

However I escape the office for site cover tomorrow and Monday (a fact I found out at about 1130hrs this morning). I’m hoping my conultancy boss makes an appearance this afternoon to get a feasibility study I’ve been told is heading my way (I’ve seen the form) but still hasn’t landed on my desk … at least this should keep me occupied over the next two works days when not doing bits on site.

So at the mo I’m rather jealous that Dr T is having a change of direction workwise ….. I‘m getting rather disillusioned by this engineering malarkey (although can't think of what I’d want to do other than maybe customs & excise) but then an ‘I built that’ moment will come along and quash those feelings for a while.
