The afternoon is dragging. This is probably not helped by the general Marie Celeste/ Library feel that Brunel Wing of the 4thFloor has this afternoon due to xmas meals x3 & a leave/ site hit HWI & Maritime sections; this coupled with a Friday afternoon on a Dr T weekend means that working isn’t really on my list of things I want to do at the mo …. But I can’t escape yet :(. I will be spending this afternoon redesigning road signs to smaller sizes than prescribed as part of our submission to DfT for a scheme I’m working on as the prescribed size of sign will be overbearing in the urban area it’s to be used in. We’ve spoken to DfT and things look good for us to trial this (and we get signs that aren’t as huge (think back of office cupboard 2m in the air each side of a terraced street) into the bargain). Mind you I’d still rather be playing with big boys toys (ie large cranes).
… 1 set of xmas lunch have returned (well those of the party who aren’t spending the rest of the day in the pub .. maybe things will stir back up to life. Oh well I can go home in just over an hour if I want (but won’t as I need to keep my hours up for Tuesday’s xmas lunch (and the presence of Dr T Chez Caz!)
