Well I went and played with various cars today ... currently I'm rather smitten by a Skoda Fabia Turbo diesel estate (for all that work clothing I carry around and camping gear I like to take!). But I still have a toyota corolla to test as I feel that the Pug 307 is out of the price range I'm prepared to pay for the level of trim I want.
Skoda currently have a deal on new cars that you can get an estate for the price of a hatch .... so I'm pondering over numbers as I'm being swayed to a brand new rather than nearly new car .... hmmm I want to stroke a Fabia estate ... a good sign I'm smitten.
I tried the 1.4 petrol but it didn't have the torquey turbo grunt of the diesel .... I like to know I've put my foot down!

I'm not due to go drive the corolla for a couple of weeks .... but don't be surprised if I head north of here tomorrow to try one ......

... I phoned home and spoke to my dad who was pleased to hear I'm thinking of joining the ranks of the (turbo) diesel estate owner ... he's just got (finally) his second 406 diesel estate and loads of his friends have diesel estates!
