What does it take to get some help?

Can I have suggestions for how I get Dr T to help me sort out the flat for just half a day?

Tom's in a huff over helping out to get the flat sorted before my parents descent.

I made a grave error in letting myself have some time to make 4 cards for a swap and my sister’s birthday card last night (so it was done before Starburst). This probably took 2 hours in total. But because I spent 2 hours on me, and doing craft (a non-Dr T approved activity) and not tidying, I should not get any help tidying up the flat (which is in desperate need). He claims its all my stuff, although having a tidy flat would benefit both of us.

I'm knackered, my body is telling to rest up but no chance anytime soon, and worrying about all that needs to get sorted doesn't help.

I don't know.

So... while you spent this couple of hours doing crafts, Tom was busy hoovering, doing the dishes, or performing maintainance on the flat/appliances/furniture?

Did some more tidying up last night (so that involved some chair climbing, as I don't have go go gadget arms)... but have various bits still to sort out before I head for Essex. Going to use the time apart to think where I want the future to go.

Oh for a set of shelving I can access or two.

tell him to find somewhere else to live if he's not prepared to tidy where he lives now

Caz is an adult: She can tidy up her own mess, and it's not just tidying up, it's sorting out and I can't decide what she wants to keep. I've helped plenty of times and she just recreates it again. If it's not good enough for her parents, why should it be good enough for me? Check my Flickr and let me know if you'd like to tidy that up repeatedly.

have you thought about moving to a different flat which you choose together - then it wouldn't be Dr T living with Caz, it would be Caz and Dr T living together? that may help?
