New Toy Alert!

I blame Dr T .... it was his encouragement ....

He went to Asda at the weekend and saw a DSLR at £299 inc basic lens ... and then found it at Jessops yesterday with until midnight a free £20 voucher.

For at lunchtime yesterday Dr T accompanied me into the Town centre I got my mitts on a shiny new Pentax DSLR  :) . Out tonight so no playtime, but the Brownies will be the test yellow blobs for it tomorrow night as we're on the seafront. Even better its lenses are compatible (as they are both Pentax K fit) with my old film SLR (you know the stuff that used to come in reels and no LCD screens); which means Dad's wide angle lens fits! Its taken down some notches do to the way DSLR and SLR differ, but I'm going to play at the weekend when I see the olds to see if there is life in the old lens still, but it does mean MF or MF.

But Dr T wants to have plays and you never know might buy it a toy or two. I suspect that I may also have my dad wanting a play ... as he's been wanting something reasonably priced with good wide angle (he may be retired but I know he still loves wide angle lenses!) for while and the Pentax entry level DSLR is probably a good bet.

As I already have a compact pentax lots of the menu stuff is the same along with cards etc. so no major expense.
