Grr!

I tell you what is it with things lately to make me go grr...

Why do ladies trousers have such small pockets? My Old Navy ones (which I'm wearing today), manage to hold our work camera (bought for its smallness to go in pockets easily for on site, its a Ixus 70 and I love my selection!) but thats it for the pocket, same with the purse! See that's why women have to have handbags ... as their pockets aren't big enough unless they wear jeans etc. But have you even seen a handbag on a building site? Nope. We stick everything in our pockets! Hence its actually pockets crammed and still things in hand for girlie trouser days! So hence the padlocks x2, set of keys for the various padlocks, notebook & camera were in hand, as on pocket had a purse in and the other the car keys and my passes when I went out to site the other morning.

Whilst talking of site, I've got a major yearning of a bit of skirt wearing. But clambering over guardrailing isn't skirt-friendly. To join the yearn for sandals ... again not site friendly! But then mum & me have always had the warm summer weather yearn for open toed sandals for work ... but scuppered (her by surgery needs); but this summer she looking forward to a new pair of open toes sandals to wear all the time as she's retired now! Mrs E doesn't have this hassle at school. I learnt early on here that Tides and skirts aren't a good combination.

So I'm wearing my trousers, in my closed shoes ... and in South facing 4th floor (so that bit higher above things) full height windowed office. So nice in this sunny south coast weather (I jest). Heck in December we only go down to the equivalent thickness of a long sleeved t-shirt! So the tropical paradise gets to us working ... and the fans all go on, as the office doesn't really have air con or any decent way to cool down to bearable temperature. So imagine my asmusement when the other day they said they want us to cut our carbon footprint! Hmm start with the building I'd say!

So come the weekend I feel the skirt and flip flops coming out for a BBQ party and Soton Beer Fest .... mind you'll I'll have to have a bag as the darn skirt has no pockets!!!

In the meantime I'll just annoy Tom more by the fact that my job allows me to escape the building on regular intervals, even if he's in a coooler part of it.

I wore shorts for a couple of days on site, attacted some comments but nothing much worse than usual. Tis true I was a bit younger then, and I've never had a yearning for skirt wearing!

The od formatting is an IE thing I think ... it worked OK on my bnetscape at home.

Hmm tried to sort out the IE formatting problems, but can't seem to resolve it. Do the readers have any ideas? All I did was change the font for the last post ...

I had a yearning for wearing a skirt on site once, but it was for Children in Need rather than me turning to cross-dressing in my not-so-old age...
