Christmas Part II
You'd of had this about a week ago .. had New Blogger/ Google worked properly with my netscape .. had to use IE (ugh) to get it sorted!
So to the post ...
Oh dear I seem to be slacking with the blog posts … my most avid reader is starting to moan … (but heck he knows what I’ve been up to!)
So to Christmas Part the Second…
Relocation to the Garden of England for the New year period … and a nice smooth run there (despite a Pompey Yoof smashing my passenger wing mirror during the work phase of the festive zone, so Dr T was wing mirror looker for pulling back into the slow lane). Heck I even remembered the key to my parents’ house (I usually remember I forgot to pack it in my handbag around Guildford).
So we arrived, chatted, unloaded did a bit of jigsaw Friday night. Saturday I finally got to the Sales : ) and then went and got crafty things in Lakeland, new shoes in Field & Trek (their sale isn’t as good as it used to be, since they got all big chain like, I remember it was a must queue sale when Canterbury was its ‘other’ shop) for work (some oh so comfy and wide keen brown leather shoes) and play (replacement for the well past it should be in the bin chameleons). A few other small bits and then the walk home.
Saturday lunch was a family affair as we were joined by sister & BIL, followed by pressies pt 2. A reasonably early departure by sister & BIL who were off to Brum for the night and new year.
Sunday was catch up at church, it was nice to how old faces are going. We noticed how the curate (and University chaplain) got his wife to buy the Sunday paper in the shop … no Sunday shopping in cassock for him! Lots of jigsawing done by all that day!
Saw new year in by watching Jools with the olds, with a spot of something alcoholic. Then to the garden to use the sparklers bought for Guy Fawkes but not used .. Asda 18” gold (£1) are better than the 50p shorter ones (more glow than sparkler).
Monday we went on a bit of tortilla raid with mum (she had enough for 3 not 4!) … and found only sainbury’s to be open so ended up with lots of reduced 10p veg as well!
Had dinner (Fajitas, hence tortilla raid) and then headed home, leaving dad with quite a lot of night sky to finish off the festive 1000 piece jigsaw… as someone had to be at work on the 2nd (and it wasn’t me!)
