Chritsmas Pt 1

Well the initial festive burst is over, and I’m back a work for my 3 day week, in a very quiet office.

The Christmas period was spent all of 20miles away so it made for a relaxed journey! I finally got the Christmassy feeling (it had been lacking, despite finally putting up the Christmas tree on about the 20th) at Midnight Service with Dr T’s Family (but not Dr T). The day itself was a leisured affair, with lunch for 11 (not the 16 planned for) with both kids & oldies. Pressie opening followed, then we had tea and a descent of the Canadian cousins (along with a significant noise level increase!). It also lead to another round of pressies … including his and hers Toronto Maple Leafs beanie hats (and warm they are too, as tested in the field).

Boxing Day didn’t have a lay in really as we were out the door at 9am to get to the start point of the Boxing Day walk with the group Tom’s mum & stepdad are members of. 6.5-7 miles in nippy (hence donning of Christmas hats) winter weather walking between and around Beaulieu & Buckler’s Hard to walk off the turkey et al.

We then visited Grandma, not seen on Xmas day before heading back to a very cold flat!

Christmas Pt2 starts tomorrow night when we head for Kent and yet another round of pressie opening and family catch up. Following Christmas Pt2, the answers for the remaining 1st (and 2nd) will be posted.
