Holding back the waves

As part of something at work one of my boss was after a picture of King Canute, an old king who held back the waves ... or so you thought ....

In actual fact the legend has had a bit of ancient spin doctoring and the King didn't hold back the waves as he was proving he couldn't.

More info here, and it all happened not to far from here (and one of the assumed places still have probs at high spring tides, lets just say you don't park your car too close to the harbour edge).
