Peace & Poverty

I'm just seen this on the BBC News Website, which pleases me.

Grameen Bank was something saw during our time in Bangladesh, both in the papers, on the street and through the Bangladesh Girl Guide Association (BGGA). BGGA work with lots of women in the slums of Dhaka on education & craft projects so that they can better themselves and become aware of their rights. Projects run as well in the more rural areas, but can often involve small businesses set up by women to support their families. These are just the sort of things where Grameen Bank get involved.

So well done Grameen Bank, you've shown that micro-loans can make a huge difference to a person's life.
