Let's go fly a kite ...

..up to the highest height...

or otherwise known as the Portsmouth Kite Festival. We went down The Common yesterday for the kite festival, where there were a good variety kites up in the air. Some impressive displays, including 1 man controlling 3 stunt kites to the music from 'Mission Impossible'. A couple of the displays had to be cancelled due to too much wind! We were sort of amused after the mad rushing by some of the flyers after a large Bart Simpson came loose on his head line ... and started to head towards the public (but caught in time).

...oh and I finally got myself a new kite to play with down The Common (thank you MOD for such a good gift to the city, with restrictions to always be an open space in the city).

So we come to the end of the summer, and its been a nice one down here. This summer I've spent a lot more time down on the seafront, and that's certainly been good. I just love living by the sea ... I think its just the calming influence of watching the waves go to and fro.
