Ottawa Part the first
I'm now in Ottawa and just down the road from the Lovely Guide Flat (the bargain place to stay here), using another great thing about Ottawa ... their public libraries .. 2 hours of internet a day for free!
So hence the blog update :)
So I survived the Greyhound trip from Toronto to Ottawa, picked up the key (all in the 90 min transfer ticket window) then ate a very late dinner of take out pizza (v. yummy it was after camp food).
So since I've been here I've been exploring the city on buses (and learnt it takes way longer/ not doable without a car, but loving the transitway (roadways for buses)). So I've been getting some craft supplies in, done the tour of Parliment Hill (including the library, now open for 5 weeks after a 4 year refurbishment). Eaten Dim Sum (alright not as good as TO, but easier to get than in the UK) and lots of other little bits and bobs.
Plan for tomorrow is major craft R&R before another day in Downtown Ottawa and some Canadian shopping for Birthday pressies x 2 ... as well as a little something for the good Dr (who informs me the fish have been fed regularly).
Hmm should also add that I parted camp with 'The Duct Tape Ring' a new take on the Iron Ring ... more to follow on this saga (not SAGGA) to follow ...
