Camp Update, Part the Second
Phew! Just finished the last of my programme sessions now, as I don't have any programme for the last day .. so heading out to Niagara on an Out Trip :). Mind you rain is forecast, hopefully not as bad as yesterday. Lets say my bucket for the session filled in a few minutes and one of the campsites had some of it campers moved out ... and the trailer tent has its own swimming pool!
Its been tiring with the early starts but we've been having fun with Gordon and Ronnie (aka Balloon Men who we've been placing in interesting locations) All part of the Canadian Engineer tradition I've been learning about! Along with 'The Iron Ring', Engineers over here get much more respect than the UK due to the ring. A I'm one of 7 engineers present in the team, they've done me a temporary one (left over from the Engineers photo last night) made by a permenant marker on my right little finger (it's done on your working hand). I'm really chuffed by this gesture ... and it will certainly make me remember this camp for a long time.
So the weather is hot again after out brief rain, and everyone is tired ... but we're still having lots of fun, if going a little insane for fresh fruit (its been lacking), we have a contraband delivery (courtesy of a Guiding/ Habitat for humanity link) of fresh fruit and some ice cream on some fronts....
