Escape to the Hills...

Back from Easy Camping and into work once more (still feeling a bit on the tired side…)

It was nice to be back in the Peaks as I’ve not spent any decent amount of time there for a good few years (its been the new find of The Lakes instead). The company was good and I got to relax and forget about work (a good thing), even better when I turned the work mobile back on this morning it didn’t have any messages :).

Did a bit of walking, a bit of culture, lots of eating, bit of Geology and some shopping on the way home (Hedge End Sainsbury’s at 1730hrs ish on a BH Mon is very good for bargins … and Diesel as I didn’t want to tempt fate and wanted air con on by seeing if a tank of diesel could do the whole trip … that 535miles since leaving Pompey Thursday night (am I insane for driving this much?)).

You never know we might be back for a new year as in Castleton we saw a nice YH that we need to investigate for a change from the Lakes …

At least I only have to work for 4 days this week until I get another weekend (inc. escape to Chichester to attempt the purchase of a pressie for dad for the following weekend … and maybe a side trip to Arundel for the walking boot shop).
