I'm currently debating whether to take up some probably interesting employment on the evening of the 5th May for the sum of (approx.) £8.82/hr ... or counting votes as its otherwise known. I almost did this on the first election I voted on as the council one of my dad's friends worked for was short but then got enough, so I missed out there. I do tend to watch the Beeb on their election coverage at all the town halls and wondered what its like from the other side. Portsmouth's counts are done in the Guildhall I believe (it having a large floor and stage area).

However there is an ICE maritime event in Bristol that afternoon that's also taking my fancy so its one or the other (in the interests of me being able to work the Friday).
