Some of you may remember the passing of Fred the Fish back at the end of August, which left just his playmate Spooky in the tank. Well yesterday Spooky finally got some new friends in his tank.
But they are currently nameless and I’m trying to think of 5 names for his new (much smaller) friends (in the hope that a couple of them live to old age).
They are all your basic small goldfish of which, 1 is a murky brown colour (Dr T’s preferred fish, which is rather shy), 2 are gold with black bits on fins, 1 is dark orange and 1 is half orange and half white.
Suggestions for fish names welcome … as they are currently known en masse as ‘1,2,3,4,5 once I caught a fish alive’, courtesy of Dr T.

How about using engineering terminology? Suggesting "theodolite" which would shorten to Theo if you wanted to. Hmm...
In the same book where an alien, at my suggestion, was named Biscit, another of his race was named Xab.
Ugh Theodilites are cursed with me (parallax error) so def not that .. but on the engineering theme maybe Slegel (?sp), the other name for a fender facing (I guess its probably dutch).
I'm not into the sci fi as much as Dr T so maybe not Xab who ever they are .. but would accept Dr Who & Hitchhikers suggestions (hmm SEP from Gascit?)
Dr T suggested naming them after little people (L & A) .. nah that for the little people themselves!
Doctor Who suggestions:
Ian, Barbara, Susan, Vicky, Steven, Sara, Katrina, Dodo, Polly, Ben, Jamie, Victoria, Zoe, Bridadier, Liz, Jo, Sarah-Jane, Leela, K9, Romana, Adric, Tegan, Nyssa, Turlough, Kamelion, Peri, Erimem, Evelyn, Mel, Ace, Hex, Grace, Chang Lee, Rose, Captain Jack Harkness.
Oh and Bessie, Whomobile and TARDIS.
Biscit and Xab were also in Doctor Who.
Hitchikers:
Aurthur, Ford, Zaphod, Trillian, Slatibartfaast, Heart of Gold, Bistromath, Magrathea, Hig Hurtenflurst, Betelgeuse, Ursa Minor Beta.
