Back from the Easter whirl and checked the e-mail (44 of which 30 were Registrar Spam .. a freebie or cheap spam blocker recommendation would be good readers) before work tomorrow.
We've been to 3 different households as well as our own seen parentage and siblings on both sides over the weekend. Had little people moments on Friday (Dr T's little people) and this afternoon (another cuddle until milk time for my friend's now 27 day old baby.. he's starting to fit his clothes!). It's my friend's birthday soon so it was mainly pressie drop off and catch up...
We stopped off at Igtham Mote on the way home (it's just off the bottom of the M26) which is an NT moated manor house. It was busy so a bit of a long snake of people around the rather small manor house. Maybe BH Mon isn't the time to go. We both have to say we much prefer EH and their audio guides (we had them last weekend at Portchester Castle) as they bring the places to life more than the pages of text you get on the few copies each room has, so on a day like today in a building with not much room they just don't get used. That said the place is very pretty, and we might return to appreciate a bit more on a less busy day as its near Sevenoaks and therfore little sister. We actually drove past the road she lives off as we rejoined the motorway home having raided Tesco Riverhead for anti-inflammatories (I ended up with a dodgy neck/shoulder that was being painful when driving ... its calmed down so might make it to archery on Thursday as its the LHS which I use to pull the bowstring being cache handed for aiming sports) as well as stop gap food until we stock up again (looks like a 10:30pm trip after Roverang on Wednesday or Friday after work..arrgh).
Easter was good, I saw old faces, found out that my parents friends next door but one were also at Portchester Castle last Sunday (but we didn't see them) as well as the church in the castle grounds, which is where the nextdoor neighbours on the other side were married (small world isn't it). I saw my sister (who is in the process of selling her soul to Private education so she can do Primary French), who has lent me 4 of the first 6 No.1 Ladies Dectective Agency Series, I started the first one last night and they're good so far....
This week is hectic with things planned for most evenings so don't expect much blogging anytime soon! At least I have easter chocolate to sustain me.
