Still no news ... to use the chosen text phase of choice 'Hope all is well'. However I've become calmer following my earlier anxieties having visited my website of the day Mothercare for easy to understand and clear info on pregnancy & labour (as opposed to toys and clothes). The oracle that is the site says the average labour lasts 20 hours (it seemed rather long to me, maybe I'm just too impaitient) so that takes it to 1645hrs today. My mobile phone has never been so loved and looked at in all my mobile owning life ... knowing my luck it will ring in the middle of Brownie ring tonight (and I also have Division meeting afterwards so baby cooing will have to happen tomorrow).

I was however in a brave mood at lunch, swallowed hard and went baby clothes shopping, I'd been putting this off until Sprog entered the world due to previous experience with another not so close firend who lost her baby with days to go.

So I'm all rather concerned as I can't be doing with this radio silence that is labour! My work colleagues have been good in calming my nerves down (without realising) after walking into work having prepared myself for the worst (following previous experience above). With all these emotions churning around I didn't get a lot sleep, wasn't hungry at lunch and very distracted at work (despite some new work landing on my desk).

The residing thought following the night's pondering is that life is precious and its a miracle that we've made it onto this planet alive. Go hug the ones you love and let them know they're precious.

I meantime shall be crossing fingers and toes and looking at my mobile far too much to be healthy.
