The baby has arrived! He (it's a boy) arrived at 1626hrs today, 5lb 14oz (women like to know these things), three weeks early. Mother and Baby doing fine, no visitors tonight mother is recovering from 19.75 hours of labour! (I'm put off childbirth for a few years now ... was quite happy with the idea until today!).

He already has a fan club in the form of my Brownie Pack. My friend (t'other side of hospital) phoned my mobile after getting the message on her ansaphone. Missed the call as moving too much with parachute games for vibrate and Brownies being noisy! I caught the last bit of the ring so missed it. Explained to Brownies that friend having a baby.. and going to take call! Go out in quiet foyer. Return to hall ... asked by Brownies and Young Guiders what it was ... a boy, Lewis William (Dr T says this a mighty fine middle name).

Dr T will also be mailigned again .... he got the message at just after 6pm (Brownies starts at 6pm) ... but it took until 7pm for me to get the message from my friend Sam to let me know. I've had a long night as Div meeting followed Brownies.

So the pressie is wrapped, card written ... the new dad's car still in road and I'm a calmer soul. Although might still not have a great night's sleep, but due to excitment (and late night buzz after Div meeting).

So Happy 0th Birthday Lewis (or should that be day and a half?)... still not sure on the name.
