Be warned .. I am wearing a skirt in my workplace as I type this. Do not be alarmed! Currently so far the only person to comment on this fact was Dr T (from the bed as I was getting ready for work) with a ‘Hmm skirt … hmm legs’. Working with pretty much an all male Section (with exception today of 2 female admin souls) this isn’t surprising. To get them to notice you’d had your hair cut it would need to be from long hair to a crew cut and colour a bright (and therefore woah! to many male engineers) colour.

Mind you tights are annoying me … this is where trousers win! Hmm shall I continue the trend and wear a skirt again tomorrow? No site stuff on the horizon for a while (just paper pushing and generation operations).

Following on with the weekends activities my Brownies will get ‘angry Dolphin’ mode as only two of the yellow blobs turned up (the reader and the reserve reader) to church parade, mind you all bar 1 of the 7 guides who turned up were our ex-Brownies. There was a guest speaker for the sermon which made the service a bit more palatable (as there was less scary vicar mode).

Then I rushed home, changed into walking gear and headed out for a lunchtime rendezvous in the New Forest (which is actually rather old at 1000 years) for a walk with some SAGGA bods. We found them a bit lost (that’s logging in enclosures for you) and very wet on the edge of the road so picked them up and transported them to the lunch point. We consumed a rather nice lunch (in a rather large but middle of nowhere pub/ restaurant) which we didn’t rush eating waiting for the weather to clear up before the second half of the walk. Come the afternoon with the addition of Dr T & I and the weather cleared up with just the odd spot of drizzle. It was rather nice to have a bit of wander in the forest with mainly just forest ponies on the route. So we unlike the general populous visiting the New Forest drove more than 100m off a main road and walked more than 10m from a car park (I think that’s the stats I was told for the average Forest visitor).
