Phew it's been a hectic few days..

Saturday was Fundaze with too many Brownies in one place (Foxlease). Our Brownies all seemed to enjoy themselves although it rained, but being well trained they just put their waterproofs and continued as before. Mind you tonight we had a moany parent as they didn't get to do some of the more adventurous activities, whose daughter didn't go on PH as at nearly 9 they were 'too young' ?!?! Besides the kids chose their top 4 on the activities on offer and based on these responses we put in the groups top 4 selections ... we got 2nd choice in one set of activities and 3rd in the other ... it seems some people are never pleased!

Sunday involved a lot of road, fortunately the closest committee member to me drove for the majority of the distance, which was a good thing as I was rather tired from a hectic day with Brownies so 6 hours of driving would not have been good. The meeting was, well a meeting, much discussion and scribbling... with some actions to do. The young master of the host household I have to say was very well behaved (or maybe he was just trying to get in our good books) as their was only the odd bit of baby grizzles .. usually for demanding of feeding!

Monday was a day off but I the lie-in I wanted didn't seem to want to happen :( but it still was a somewhat more relaxed morning before heading out to Petworth House mid morning for some culture. There are lots of pictures by famous artists (van Dyke, Turner, Dr T even found a Reynolds (one of the old boys of his school), too many portraits for my liking; I'm more into paintings of landscapes showing interesting places and structures. We then headed to that Canterbury sustitute of Chichester before home and collapse into bed .....
